Travel to the remote project site in Ontario (Chalk River) for approximately one week per month (expenses reimbursed).

We’re looking for a Commercial Manager who can lead the commercial strategy on a large‑scale, highly regulated project. Someone who understands how projects are built, how contracts behave under pressure, and how to protect value while enabling teams to succeed. - Lead the Commercial Team and set the commercial strategy for a major project.
- Manage Change Orders end‑to‑end, producing rigorous, evidence‑based commercial cases for entitlement, pricing, and claims.
- Chair or participate in risk, trend, and change control forums.
- Lead claim management and dispute resolution with clarity and confidence.
- Identify and execute strategies that enhance project profitability.
- Ensure contract and procedural compliance across all commercial activities.
- Advise on contract negotiations and commercial positioning.
- Provide proactive commercial guidance to project leadership, engineering, construction, and procurement.
- Work closely with Construction Managers, Superintendents, Safety, Quality, and Project Controls to assess design changes and constructability impacts.
- Support executive‑level reporting and commercial presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Travel to the remote project site in Ontario for approximately one week per month (expenses reimbursed).
Qualifications
Must‑Have Requirements

Ability to meet federal security clearance requirements for work on a nuclear project, including three consecutive years of verifiable residency in Canada or another country recognized under the project’s security framework8+ years of direct experience in a project role with a mid‑size to large general contractorCommercial / Contract management experience in a complex project environmentStrong understanding of complex contractsProficiency in cost estimation, forecasting, scheduling, risk management, and reportingProficient in contract management and negotiationSolid understanding of construction trades, safety, and construction techniquesKnowledge of construction industry trends and regulationsUniversity degree in a construction‑related field, or equivalent experienceMajor project experience on projects valued at $1B+Ability to travel frequently to local and off‑site project locations, supported by a valid driver’s licenceStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to achieve results through collaborationStrong mentorship and coaching capabilityAbility to thrive in a highly regulated, technically complex project environmentExperience working on nuclear, industrial, or other highly regulated major projectsDemonstrated ability to navigate complex project governance and compliance environmentsExperience leading teams or acting as a senior commercial or project lead on large‑scale infrastructure projectsIf you see yourself in this role - and you meet the bar - we’d like to hear from you.

Compensation Transparency
Expected salary band for this role is (depending on experience) : $160,000 to upwards of $180,000
The base salary range for this role is listed above and may vary based on your experience. This position also includes a competitive bonus program. Throughout the interview process, we’ll discuss your background to determine the best alignment for your experience level.
