Description
Our client, the Accounting Operations Section within Health Canada requires one Senior Finance Clerk in their accouting office to provide Accounting Operations Services.
Duties
- To provide general accounting services to the Accounting Operations unit
- To provide assistance to colleagues as required.
Qualifications
- Successful completion of secondary school diploma
- Mandatory Required Experience
- Recent experience working in Accounts Receivables
- Experience
- Recent experience working within the Government of Canada;
- Recent experience using SAP Financial System;
- Experience in dealing with clients;
- Experience in the interpretation and / or implementation of financial policies;
- Knowledge
- Knowledge of Treasury Board Policies concerning accounts receivables.
- Assets
- Experience with Excel, Word, Lotus Notes, Lotus 1 2 3 and WordPerfect;
- Experience working with processing interdepartmental settlements or journal vouchers;
- Experience working through a government year-end exercise;
- Experience maintaining personnel files;
- Willing to work overtime on short notice.
