One of ourGovernment clients (CANADIAN FORCES BASE in BORDENONTARIO) is in search of 2x FinancialProfessionals toassist on a contract basis from April 1st to August5th.

You MUST haveprior financialexperience.

TheFinancial Clerk s main task is to process financial information bymanual written verbal or electronic means. Skills and abilitiesrequired include familiarity with general office procedures the useof standard office equipment and software (Windows MS Office etc)and accounting software the ability to communicate effectivelyorally and in writing and the possession of general accounting andmathematicalabilities.

Creation tracking and finalization of travel or other claims costcompared against the most economicalmeans

Coding totalling enteringverifying and reconciling transactions such as current and archivedclaims cheques and bank statements in a ledger or computer systemor both

Providing general clericalsupport including data inputting processing and updating routingcorrespondence; maintaining bringforward systems;

virtual meetingson MS Teams answering the telephone; operating telephone switchingsystems; and taking messages

Stayingup to date on team goals work processes and performanceobjectives.

Identifying early warning signs of potential problems and alertingthe manager and others as needed.

Performing document and file management functions includingefiling

Photocopying faxing andscanning documents

Required reportsand returns are competed and submitted within mandatedtimelines

Provide weekly updates onprogressinitiatives

Requirements

Experienceand Skills :

Experience in theprovision of financial support services including processing claimsfor payment along with an understanding of generally acceptedaccounting principles are required.

Typical duties may include :

Inputting information into afinancial management system

Selectingvalidating and inputting information in thesystem

Providing administrative andfinancial support services

Remainsituational aware of upcoming claim and travelrequirements

Interact effectivelywith CAF and civilian personnel

Report submissions are researched and contain suggestedsolutions

Tracking documents andmaintaining a filesystem
