Position Overview
The Installer III is an entry-level position responsible for executing merchandising and installation tasks. This role requires a solid understanding of merchandising principles and basic installation skills. The Installer III works under the supervision of a lead team member and is expected to complete tasks with precision and efficiency. Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation and assembly of fixtures, equipment, displays, shelving, and signage, ensuring alignment with client specifications and brand standards.
- Be open to using power tools, along with hand tools for installing and mounting hardware to securely attach fixtures to walls, ceilings, and floors while maintaining the aesthetic integrity of the design.
- Have some availability to work weekends and overnight shifts from 9pm-6am when required.
- Unload trucks, pallets, boxes, and stock shelves as needed.
- Using Plano-o-grams, replace missing PoP signage and ensure product pricing is clear and visible. Install shelf accessories like dividers, wire baskets, and clips.
- Aid in executing resets and remodels, working on various store fixtures (steel, gondola, millwork). Some projects will involve moving, removing, tear-down, rebuild and installing new fixtures.
- Perform auditing tasks, such as documenting damaged products, fixture, flooring and minor structural deficiencies as directed.
- Coordinate with team members and store staff to address unexpected obstacles effectively.
- Work efficiently to complete tasks in active spaces, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper disposal of packaging materials and waste.
Requirements & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.Must be in good standing with DAVACOs preferred rental car companies.Ability to pass drug screening and background check.2 – 3 years of experience in merchandising, with a strong background in managing store fixtures and installations.Must have experience with new retail store buildouts, remodels, hand and power tools and working with gondola-type fixtures.Proficiency in interpreting layout plans, diagrams, and installation instructions.Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to handle unforeseen challenges during installations.Must be technologically savvy with the ability to use smartphones, texting, and email.Strong time-management skills to meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards.Understanding of safety regulations and best practices applicable to installation work.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Physical Requirements
Physical capability to lift, move, and position heavy fixtures and equipment (at least 50 pounds unassisted).Stamina stand, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, climb ladders and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.Travel Requirements (If necessary)
Willingness to travel to job sites as needed, including overnight stays.Comfortable sharing accommodations with team members.Smartphone in good working condition with hands-free capability.Disclaimer
