POSITION SUMMARY

As a member of the Maintenance team, this position is responsible for supporting our manufacturing plants and facilities by inspecting equipment, installing equipment, repairing, and servicing all plant equipment, and associated electrical and electronic controls including CNC, press brakes, lasers, welders, and cranes.

WHAT YOU WILL DO :

Lays out, assembles, installs, repairs, and maintains equipment or components exposed to direct or indirect contact with electricity in all company locations.

Plans and executes proposed electrical installations from blueprints, sketches / specifications in accordance with established statutes and regulations.

Instructs employees in a junior classification within the trade.

Maintains the cleanliness of plant and protection of company property.

Adheres to all established safety practices and procedures.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL :

Must hold current Manitoba / Interprovincial Trade Certificate (Red Seal) accepted by the Manitoba Labour Board.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Experience in setting up machines / tools in the performance of the job and operate to tight, defined tolerances.

Must be able to operate all air and hand tools.

Ability to work independently without supervision.

Previous experience with lean manufacturing (5S) would be considered an asset.
