Location : Remote Must be based in East Canada. - Travel to client 1-2 per year.

The Role
You will bring your technical expertise and join a Total Rewards team supporting pension, benefits and wellness strategy initiatives by supporting on research, delivery, analysis, evaluation administration of the programs and initiatives.
You will provide subject matter expertise in benefit and pension best practices knowledge to support HR and organization.
You should be confident enough to manage projects and roll up your sleeves. The team / company are going through a lot of transformation and they need the technical expertise on benefits and pension.
You will provide analytical support in the implementation, monitoring and development of all Total Rewards activities. You will project manage new programs within the TR function, including Workday Benefits.
In this position, you will work closely with many internal and external stakeholders that will have direct impact across the organization and will be an SME across Benefits and Pension.
Duties
- Monitor trends and developments within Benefits, Pension and Wellness, identifying best practice, statutory changes and any gaps in statutory compliance.
- Leading the ongoing administration for Defined Contribution and Defined Benefit pension plans.
- Performing audits for Total Rewards processing, ensuring compliance across external and internal standards including legislation and market movement.
- Identify improvement of processes and policies for the Total Rewards function.
- Participate and take ownership on Total Rewards ongoing and new projects, from design to rollout.
- Monitor and report on KPIs to evaluate areas for improvement on efficiency and provide management trending data.
- Taking part in benefit renewal, related communications, administration and program implementation and contract management.
Requirements
- Background and experience within Human Resources.
- Proficiency in Workday Benefits and Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Experience with Group Benefits plans (Health, Dental, Life, LTD, AD&D, optional insurance).
- Defined Benefit Pension Plans and Defined Contribution Pension Plans.
- Strong collaboration, communication and project management abilities.
- Analytical with attention to benefit contract and union contract details is a must to ensure Workday and communication across employees is accurate.
- Background of working in an agile environment.
