The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB) is a dynamic learning organization located on unceded Algonquin homeland.
The OCDSB is an active community partner with an intentional focus on Indigenous rights, human rights, and equity. The largest school district in eastern Ontario, the OCDSB serves over 77,000 students and 14,000 employees across 146 schools in the City of Ottawa.
The OCDSB is seeking an experienced senior executive who, working under the guidance of the Director of Education, can support the effective governance of the Board of Trustees and senior leadership and the achievement of strategic priorities, ensuring effective communications and evidence informed decision-making.
As the ideal candidate, you are a consultative and inspiring leader experienced in coaching, mentoring, and motivating high performing teams.
You are a clear and engaging communicator and skilled issues manager who excels in navigating organizational and political complexity and ambiguity.
Your record of community-based policy development, governance support and issues and crises management will be highly valued in this role, as will your abilities to organize, prioritize and execute.
You have strong analytical, research, facilitation, and problem-solving skills gained from experience in a school board or a comparably complex, multi-constituent environment.
