Responsibilities : Industrial Hygiene :
Participate in developing and deploying the Industrial Hygiene Program and tools such as Air Sampling Campaigns, Hearing Conservation Program, and the Respiratory Protection Program, etc.Perform industrial hygiene risk assessments (quantitative / qualitative)Participate in the development of sampling strategiesConduct sampling campaignsRadiation Protection :
Carry out all measurements prescribed in procedures and work instructionsRecord data collected and input into records and databasesPerform and coordinate calibration and maintenance of measuring devices and systemsTrain / mentor all employeesProvide assistance and advice to employees on radiation and radiation protectionEstablish and maintain procedures, work instructions and formsTeach Advanced Radiation Protection courses and prepare / attend safety huddlesDraft internal / regulatory reportsPlan daily schedules to accomplish the prescribed monitoring programRespond to situations where it may be necessary to investigate, eliminate and / or control unacceptable radiation exposureSkills and Qualifications :
Certification or active pursuit of the following certification is required : Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technician, Radiation Safety Officer.Significant experience, certification and / or active pursuit of technical knowledge in Industrial Hygiene and Radiation ProtectionDemonstrated ability to teach and speak publiclyExcellent computer skills in spreadsheets, data management systemsTechnical reading and writing skills are requiredProficiency using SAP, SharePoint, Microsoft OfficeAbility to supervise technical staffFamiliarity with the operation of agencies such as CNSC, Sask Labour, etc.A valid drivers license#J-18808-Ljbffr
