Work Location & Schedule :

McClean Lake, SK

14 day in / 14 day out rotating schedule

Responsibilities : Industrial Hygiene :

Participate in developing and deploying the Industrial Hygiene Program and tools such as Air Sampling Campaigns, Hearing Conservation Program, and the Respiratory Protection Program, etc.

Perform industrial hygiene risk assessments (quantitative / qualitative)

Participate in the development of sampling strategies

Conduct sampling campaigns

Radiation Protection :

Carry out all measurements prescribed in procedures and work instructions

Record data collected and input into records and databases

Perform and coordinate calibration and maintenance of measuring devices and systemsTrain / mentor all employees

Provide assistance and advice to employees on radiation and radiation protection

Establish and maintain procedures, work instructions and forms

Teach Advanced Radiation Protection courses and prepare / attend safety huddles

Draft internal / regulatory reports

Plan daily schedules to accomplish the prescribed monitoring program

Respond to situations where it may be necessary to investigate, eliminate and / or control unacceptable radiation exposure

Skills and Qualifications :

Certification or active pursuit of the following certification is required : Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technician, Radiation Safety Officer.

Significant experience, certification and / or active pursuit of technical knowledge in Industrial Hygiene and Radiation Protection

Demonstrated ability to teach and speak publicly

Excellent computer skills in spreadsheets, data management systems

Technical reading and writing skills are required

Proficiency using SAP, SharePoint, Microsoft Office

Ability to supervise technical staff

Familiarity with the operation of agencies such as CNSC, Sask Labour, etc.

A valid drivers license
