WHAT’S THE JOB?

The General Helper position is critical to the success of the culinary team. In a kitchen support role, the G.H. works a variety of shifts throughout the day and acts as the fuel that keeps the kitchen running smoothly. Kitchen support workers will complete various tasks throughout the day based on their shift schedule and time of day. General Helpers may work split shifts, night shifts, early mornings, and late nights, depending on the kitchen schedule.

Key Responsibilities :

• Maintaining a safe working environment at all times
• Following all safety controls related to Covid including regular handwashing, proper use of PPE and enhanced cleaning / sanitation requirements
• Providing excellent and consistent service for all guests using the KDR facilities
• Maintaining a clean and organized workstation throughout the shift
• Cleaning and maintaining all areas within the KDR complex on a daily basis – lunchrooms, dining room, servery, ware wash area, main kitchen, and storage areas

This includes but is not limited to; cleaning and sanitizing all surfaces, counters, tables, chairs, and equipment

Removing all used flatware and cutlery to ware wash area

Qualifications

Work schedule and remuneration :

General Helpers work on a rotational schedule of 4 weeks on / 2 weeks off. Site locations are in remote settings, requiring either air travel to site, or via ground on our shuttle. You may be required to work nights,  weekdays, weekends, and general holidays. Wages are paid on an hourly basis with a starting rate of $19.75 per hour.
