What will you do?
Responsible to ensure maintenance resources effectively execute all planned and
unplanned work.
- Authorize purchase of materials / resources to support maintenance.
- Monitor MRO inventory levels and take appropriate actions to address overstock
conditions or obsolescence risk.
Create value added preventive maintenance work content and ensure skilled trades
are optimized.
- Identify operator maintenance activity for Autonomous maintenance checklists.
- Complete PMs within defined time frames and according to schedule
- Ensure maintenance technicians provide feedback to completed work plans to
schedule additional follow up work as required.
- Participate in development of department objectives (KPI)
- Participate in the daily production meeting and provide equipment downtime updates
as appropriate.
- Provides off hours support to the production department.
- Ensure resources are available to execute activities during major shutdown periods.
- Assist the maintenance department personnel in trouble shooting activities to
minimize downtime impact.
Generate labour schedule to ensure proper resources are available to support
production department goals
What will you bring?
Minimum 5 years of experience (maintenance) in an automotive manufacturing
environment
- Minimum 5 years leadership experience
- Minimum licensed trade qualification, or strong Engineering background
- Basic knowledge of Lean Principles and Concepts an asset.
- Demonstrated mechanical / electrical aptitude.
o Root cause analysis
o Troubleshooting
o Basic understanding of PLC programming and troubleshooting ladder logic
- Strong sense of urgency / ability to prioritize.
- Must be able to pass Intermediate computer skills test including MS Office i.e., Word,
Excel PowerPoint and email.
- Be willing to work overtime; may be required to work different shifts
