We are seeking Machinist(s) to operate CNC Horizonal Boring Mills and / or Vertical Milling Machines

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and engineered drawings
• Setup, program, and operation of HBMs or VMMs
• Run variety of machines including lathes and mills when required.
• Understand tool limitations and controls during operation
• Operate machines within tight tolerances and have a good knowledge of feeds and speeds
• Measure precisely utilizing mic’s, calipers, bore gauges and hold tight tolerances.
• Operate travelling overhead crane up to 20 tonnes, and know rigging requirements
• Inspect work according to ISO and Quality Assurance standards
• Capable of working unsupervised on own machine.
• Troubleshoot within area and on machines
• Perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Assure compliance with appropriate safety practices and procedures
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures
• Assist with continuous improvement projects under the direction of the team leader.
• Complete autonomous maintenance of equipment as per daily check lists.

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate has over 3 years of HBM and / or VMM experience and possesses the following competencies.
