We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Snow Plow Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for clearing snow and ice from roads, parking lots, and other designated areas to ensure safe passage for vehicles and pedestrians during winter weather conditions.
This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical operations, as well as the ability to maintain equipment and perform landscape maintenance tasks when necessary.
This position is all year round utilize your skills in mechanical operations and landscape maintenance throughout all seasons.
Responsibilities
- Operate snow plow equipment effectively to clear snow and ice from various surfaces.
- Maintain and inspect snow plow machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for minor repairs and adjustments on equipment.
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks, including irrigation and garden upkeep, during off-season periods.
- Build and dig as needed for landscaping projects or repairs.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure personal safety and the safety of others while operating machinery.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding weather conditions and operational needs.
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge related to the operation and maintenance of snow plow equipment.
- Experience with landscape maintenance, including the ability to irrigate gardens effectively.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for various tasks.
- Ability to work long hours in challenging winter conditions, including nights and weekends as needed.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety standards.
- Previous experience in snow removal or similar roles is preferred but not required.
