MISSION

The Mental Health Program Manager, will be a pivotal leader in the organization, overseeing the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of a range of clinical programs and services that support the mental health and well-being of infants, children, youth and their families.

Reporting to the Director, Clinical Services and Programs, the individual will play a vital role in enhancing the quality and impact of our programs while ensuring alignment with the evolving needs of our client population.

The Pod Group is partnering with this organization to place a passionate, forward-thinking leader to fulfill the role of the Mental Health Program Manager.

PRIORITIES

  • Act as an integral part of the Leadership Team, actively contributing to strategic planning and organizational decision-making, professionally representing the organization, and advocating for its programs and mission across the service area.
  • Lead and provide effective supervision of Program Supervisors while providing support and mentoring in their team supervision, conflict resolution, and addressing any areas of concern promptly and efficiently.
  • Conduct comprehensive performance reviews of Program Supervisors and manage the employee review process to ensure high standards of performance and professional development.
  • Establish and maintain clear departmental and individual performance expectations to foster continuous learning and growth.
  • Actively participate in the recruitment and training of employees, ensuring the team has the necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure all programs strictly adhere to funding requirements, Business Intelligence (BI) targets, clinical standards, and operating budgets, maintaining the highest level of program integrity.
  • Provide oversight and support for the Client Information System, ensuring accuracy and integrity of data, effective data extraction, and utilization in planning and performance management.
  • Lead in the development and design of innovative program evaluations to continuously improve service delivery and facilitate effective communication of program progress, challenges, and updates to senior staff and stakeholders.
  • Promote and foster positive community service partnerships, focusing on collaborative efforts to meet the needs of children, youth, and families in the Grey and Bruce regions.
  • Assist in completing accurate service reporting to funders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Ensure the implementation of an active and comprehensive family and youth engagement strategy, aligning with the agency’s goals and values.
  • Champion the agency’s Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) strategy, promoting an inclusive and respectful organizational culture.

Requirements

TALENTS & EXPERTISE

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution.
  • Current registration and in good standing with the appropriate professional college or regulatory body.
  • 5+ years experience in a clinical leadership role within the health, mental health and addictions or social services sector, with a proven track record of program leadership, development and evaluation.
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices, clinical standards, and guidelines in child and youth mental health.
  • Commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging in mental health and addictions service delivery.
  • Exceptional leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Drivers licence in good standing with access to vehicle.
