Tool Designer

Overview

Our Client in Windsor, ON has an ongoing opportunities for a Tool Designer to join their organization.

Qualifications & Duties

• Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience, with minimum 3 years design experience in tool design
• Must have a background in Tool & Die Making, die design in the automotive industry.
• Extensive working knowledge of Siemens NX and Key Creator
• Designing complex tools (transfer, progressive dies, etc.) from conception, strip layout to final design and BOM.
• Coordinating with the design team to complete the design within the job’s milestones and within budget
• Conduct detailed design review meetings with a cross-functional team and customers
• Offers feedback to customers and offers suggestions on the design change in order to improve part feasibility
• Produce designs in an efficient and accurate manner so as to meet customer’s timelines and specifications, adhering to customer tooling standards.
