Operator (Admix) Day Shift

Sika Canadas manufacturing plant in  Edmonton AB  is hiring an  Operator (Admix)  to join our small cohesive team!

In this role the Operator (Admix) would be exposed to a number of different responsibilities throughout the plant from  production  and  batching  of Sikas liquid admixture products to  quality control . The individual will assist mainly with the  concrete admixtures  division but as we are a very busy but a small team they will have the opportunity to work with our  cementitious-based powder  products as needed.

This is a permanent full-time position; however the duration of the job has not yet been determined and may vary based on business needs.

The Operator (Admix) will :

• Produce Sika liquid admixture products by following established procedures and formulas.
• Batch materials accurately mix according to specified processes and maintain precise records.
• Perform quality control testing and enter results into SAP.
• Report any non-conformances to the Team Leader or plant management.
• Create and close process orders.
• Wash and load tanker trucks for bulk shipments; complete trip sheet records.
• Prepare label and ship pails drums or totes for non-bulk orders.
• Label and store product samples appropriately.
• Conduct and record equipment calibrations.
• Safely operate forklifts and other plant equipment adhering to all safety policies (PPE lock-out confined space safe lifting practices etc.).
• Participate in production planning and order raw materials as needed.
• Complete preventative maintenance inspections (daily monthly annually).
• Test and record pH levels of wastewater.
• Maintain housekeeping standards including daily cleaning waste disposal recycling and cleaning between product runs.
• Assist Team Leader and plant management as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
