What will you do?
- Responsible for all designated business units third party spend activities
- Controls and monitors all procurement activities in projects
- Implementing procurement strategies targeting maximum contribution to the operating result
- Identifies appropriate procurement strategies from a set of standard accepted business unit and company strategies and implements the strategies to achieve cost and customer satisfaction goals of system and service projects
- Identify market and project specific risks and opportunities throughout the project procurement phase
- Recommends specific actions to mitigate risks or capitalize on opportunities through tailored risk management e.g., contractual framework in consultation with project management and customer
- Establishes proper sourcing processes and identifies all procurement resources and activities to achieve optimal cost Procurement plan target-costing and meet requirements relating to deadlines and quality
- Guarantees the observance of the procurement processes described and optimizing deployment of resources
- Analyzes customer contracts and agreements including risk analysis and recommends negotiating strategies and tactics in preparation for negotiations with suppliers back-to-back where appropriate
- Leads contract and price negotiations and / or supports Commodity Managers responsible for particular material fields to secure project cost targets with best available terms and conditions
- Defines measurements for controlling and compiling all relevant project cost information to submit qualified reports e.
g. for the project team procurement management team including analysis of variances and actual or missed cost savings
- Assures compliance with all company purchase order requisition receiving and invoice policies and procedures
- Train business unit team members on procurement policies and procedures to ensure departmental and related business goals
- Provides support to national procurement
What will you need to succeed?
- Bachelor’s degree Business or Supply Chain Management
- Minimum 7 years of related Procurement experience.
- Procurement or Supply Management Certification from a recognized association is a plus.
- Fluent Bilingual in both English and French is a strong asst
- Requires strong verbal and written communication skills to convey complex and / or detailed information to multiple individuals with differing knowledge levels
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to work in a matrix multi-dimensional business environment
