Saskatchewan Health Authority North East, is seeking an Adult Psychiatrist for full time work. The successful candidate will possess a strong team approach and join a collegial group practice of Psychiatrists who enjoy a broad scope of practice including outpatients, acute care and shared call responsibilities.

The Victoria Hospital is a regional hospital with 164 acute care beds including an 8-bed intensive care unit that provides services to a population of 80,000 which includes northern and northeastern Saskatchewan.

Dubbed The Gateway to the North , Prince Albert is in close proximity to a multitude of freshwater lakes and woodlands with outdoor activities for every season.

Currently, the following specialty services are provided : Obstetrics / Gynecology, General Surgery, Radiology, Psychiatry, Ophthalmology, Urology, General Internal Medicine, Anesthesiology, Pathology, ENT

Candidates must hold certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada

  • Compensation is sessional contract, $480,761.00, plus on-call stipend
  • On-call duties shared with pool of colleagues from psychiatric services
  • Participation in teaching and mentoring medical learners and residents is an expectation and allows the opportunity to obtain Academic Professorship through the University Of Saskatchewan College Of Medicine.
