About This Opportunity

Working as part of an interdisciplinary team at our Active Body Physical Therapy clinic, the Foot Care Nurse will provide advanced foot care treatments, including foot assessments, nail care and callous, corn and wart removal.

Take an inside look at what you’ll do each day

  • Manage and conduct all aspects of foot care clinic operations according to the established highest quality care standards of practice
  • Create and maintain client documentation in accordance with set guidelines, including the collection and submission of evaluation data
  • Co-ordinate and ensure all supplies / related equipment are secured, properly set up and fully operational
  • Determine and carry out appropriate advanced foot care nursing interventions
  • Educate clients, service providers, and other stakeholders on foot care-related topics
  • Advocate on behalf of clients to facilitate the achievement of nursing goals as defined by the care plan
  • Document and report client information, use written reports, individual discussions or case conferences to keep other health care providers informed of the client’s status
  • Maintain treatment records in accordance with college standards

What You Need To Be Successful

  • A degree or diploma from an accredited nursing program
  • Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (RN or RPN)
  • Completion of an approved Advanced Foot Care training program
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict management skills
  • Results-oriented with analytical problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
