What is the opportunity?

We’re looking for a Product Designer for This individual will be playing a big part in building the next evolution of our Enterprise platform offering as we continue to provide new and improved billing capabilities for Physician’s across Canada.

The designer will work alongside a close-knit group of fun and ambitious designers, marketers, product and engineers. They will work cross-functionally to push creativity and technical innovation across our web and mobile apps for both and MD Billing.

They will also initiate and support design research efforts to uncover gaps and opportunities within physician billing, as well as co-govern our design system.

We’re looking for someone who can apply design thinking and / or human-centred design methodologies within their day-to-day work.

The ideal candidate will actively lead and contribute to interaction models, user flows, prototyping, and visual interface design at a systems and micro level.

The ideal candidate is comfortable contributing to product and brand strategy at a high level and working with a variety of stakeholders to continuously push the perspective of design across the team.

What will you do?

  • Work within a close-knit design team on various projects to better the end-to-end experience of our web and mobile apps
  • Apply systems thinking to the creation, maintenance, and growth of our design system? ensuring consistency and simplicity within our evolving brand guidelines
  • Adapt your skill sets across challenges within the product life cycle from identifying problems, research, ideation, and execution
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to reach clarity and alignment on small to large ideas to better the user experience using informal and formal design thinking methods
  • Support the team in applying qualitative and quantitative data to inform design decisions within our day-to-day work
  • Work within our agile team structure to provide quality assurance on our design outputs

  • Being meticulous and detail-oriented you advocate for beautiful visual design balanced with solid UX
  • An adaptive mindset that is able to navigate challenging or ambiguous problems

Must Haves :

  • 3+ years of Product Design experience or a similar role
  • A design portfolio that illustrates a range of strategic thinking, visual design, and strong UX
  • Technical proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as : Figma, Adobe Creative Suite and prototyping tools
  • Knowledge and / or hands-on experience working in rapid product development and an agile environment
  • Strong understanding of core design principles related to typography, grid systems, visual hierarchy, color systems, white space etc
  • Undergraduate degree in Design (, interaction, visual communications, product, industrial) or a related field or equivalent experience

Nice-to-haves :

  • Experience in Banking or Financial Services
  • Experience in designing digital experiences in Healthcare and or for physician’s
  • A strong understanding of Accessibility and Inclusive Design practices
