Senior Mechanical Designer - HVAC

International Quest Engineering Ltd. (IQE) has an opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Designer with strong technical and drafting/modeling abilities to join our team. In this role, you will take the lead in the development, design, and drafting of mechanical building systems designs for commercial, multi-family, and heavy industrial projects for the wood-products, mining and energy sectors.

Job Description:

This is a growth-oriented position with a variety of tasks ranging from design work in the office to field work at the job site. Your primary responsibility will be leading the CAD design of projects which focus on the design of building mechanical systems.

The preferred candidate will be self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and focus on quality. The candidate must have 5+ years’ experience in the HVAC field, as well as the ability and desire to lead and mentor other designers.

The candidate most likely to succeed in this role will have a demonstrated record of achievement based on them being:

1. A self-starter, confident, results focused
2. Proactive, having a sense of urgency in responding to client requirements and deadlines
3. An innovative problem solver with a strong technical background

Qualifications:

2-year technology diploma or equivalent

5+ years relevant experience

Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
