Overview : Our client, an established manufacturer with a multi‑shift operation, is seeking a Production Manager to lead and optimize night‑shift performance. The role ensures safe, efficient, and reliable production while supporting a high‑performing team and driving continuous improvement across the shift.

The Role

• Collaborate with maintenance teams to prioritize equipment repairs and preventive maintenance needs.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and support audits when required.
• Lead night‑shift production activities, including staffing, labour allocation, overtime management, and equipment readiness.
• Oversee production monitoring to ensure targets, schedules, and quality standards are consistently achieved.
• Maintain and reinforce Health & Safety policies, procedures, and compliance expectations.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and training initiatives; ensure proper completion of orientation, job‑specific training, and performance documentation.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to supervisors and lead hands regarding safety, employee relations, training, performance management, and workflow execution.
• Recommend, coordinate, and implement process improvements focused on safety, efficiency, and operational reliability.
• Prepare shift KPI reports and contribute to broader continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
• Participate in cross‑functional problem‑solving, root‑cause analysis, and improvement events.
• Strengthen communication channels between frontline employees and leadership to maintain transparency, engagement, and alignment.
• Ensure all staff receive appropriate skills development, support, and corrective guidance where required.
