Job description

Our downtown Toronto based client is seeking an SAP BODS (Data Services) Consultant for a 6+6 month contract starting in January.

Responsibilities

  • Develop data quality solutions using SAP Information Steward for profiling, cleansing, standardizing, and consolidating data.
  • Analyze business and functional specifications to design logical models and technical specifications for Data Services.
  • Ensure adherence to SAP Data Services (DS) and Information Steward (IS) policies by users and applications.
  • Design, develop, test, and troubleshoot ETL solutions for data quality and integration.
  • Transport changes across systems using Solution Manager or Central Repository.
  • Recommend feasible design options to ensure sustainable and compliant solutions.
  • Debug and resolve connectivity issues between source, target, and middleware layers (e.g., APIs).
  • Share SAP best practices and mentor staff in Data Services and Information Steward.
  • Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and create documentation for future reference.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of ETL / data migration experience with SAP Data Services - BODS
  • Hands-on experience with SAP DS v4.x for integrating data from diverse sources (e.g., SAP, Oracle, SQL Server).
  • Familiarity with SAP technical components (e.g., RFC, BAPI, IDOC, LSMW).
  • Proven expertise in SQL for data integration and analytical queries.
  • Background in large-scale SAP or non-SAP projects using ASAP or Agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of machine learning and metadata management is an asset.

  • Experience in data integration, testing, and monitoring with SAP Data Services - BODS
  • Proficiency in improving SAP Data Services - BODS performance.
