Machine Operator (printing Industry)
Job Description
Our client is a manufacturer in the printing industry, providing custom print and packaging solutions to a wide range of customers throughout North America.
They are currently looking for temporary machine operators
Location : Markham ON
Shift : 2 Shifts available- Monday to Friday (6 : am to 3 : pm) & (3 : pm to : pm) This position is temporary contract
Pay Range : per hour (BOE)
Number of Openings : 2
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform machine operating and packing functions as noted on work order / job tickets.
- Operate equipment / machine to produce orders.
- Process handwork assembly according to specifications.
- Clean and disinfect workstation.
- Package jobs, complete work orders, tickets, and delivery receipts as necessary and placed in their assigned areas.
- Troubleshoot breakdowns, conduct minor repairs, and perform routine maintenance.
- Operate assigned equipment / machine in accordance with operating procedures.
- Control and adjust machine settings when required.
- Responsible for cleaning and machine setup of assigned equipment / machine
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Key Experience & Qualifications :
- High school diploma / GED with experience or vocational / technical certification.
- Previous print and / or machine knowledge / experience is an asset.
- Previous experience in operating machinery is an asset.
- Strong interpersonal skills working well with others, communication, positive attitude.
- Basic computer skills
- Good written, verbal and mathematical skills.
- Good attention to detail and hand eye coordination.
- Able to work independently and as a member of the team.
- Able to apply written instructions to machine set-up and maintenance.
- Reliable attendance, punctuality and attention to workstation.
- Meet or exceed minimum test results as specified by the hiring manager.
