Role Summary :
We are seeking a Project manager to serve as the main point of contact for the client and managers, ensuring full execution of construction and maintenance projects from conception through completion.
Key Responsibilities :
Assists with the development of proposals.
Reviews specifications and drawings to determine the total scope of work and associated costs.
Represents PTW by participating in client interface meetings.
Develops and maintains the Construction Execution Plan at a strategic level.
Organize project teams and guide them throughout their efforts to produce deliverables in accordance with specifications.
Maintain rapport and work with client representatives throughout all stages of the project.
Chairs project kick-off, progress and close-out meetings.
Manage project activities throughout the lifecycle, including allocating adequate resources, scheduling, documenting, budgeting, and other factors necessary for success.
Oversee total construction and maintenance effort to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule.
Ensures that regular construction and maintenance execution meetings are held to communicate objectives to the site and to resolve construction issues.
Follows up on change orders on a timely basis and analyzes each project’s budget forecast.
Monitors and controls the distribution of all project documents and records.
Generates and submits a post-project analysis, including a lessons learned report.
Acts in a manner consistent with PTW’s core values and according to PTW’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethical Behaviour.
Complies with standards and procedures of the PTW Health & Safety Manual and Occupational Health & Safety Regulations.
Qualifications / Requirements :
Previous industrial construction and maintenance experience required.
Journeyman Electrician with Inter-Provincial Red Seal and / or Instrumentation Technician / Mechanic would be considered an asset.
Strong MS Office skills and scheduling software.
Must be highly self-motivated and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills.
Excellent communication with the ability to interpret needs and express ideas clearly.
Superior customer service skills with the ability to deliver results according to client specifications.
Able to work effectively in teams as well as independently.
Efficient organizational skills with the ability to thrive in a deadline-oriented environment.
Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
Valid Canadian Driver’s License – Must provide a driver's abstract of the last 3 years of driving history, which is acceptable by the corporate vehicle maintenance and safety program.
Local travel to job sites will be required.
