Under the general direction of the Housing Services Program Manager, to provide maintenance services to assigned rental projects within CDSB in accordance with related legislation, CDSB policies and procedures and CDSB Vision & Values.

Key Responsibilities
- Repairs to building components including intermediate electrical, plumbing and heating, advanced building general, doors, windows, screens, locking devices, flooring, cabinets, cupboards, countertops, walls, baseboards, soffit, siding, eaves trough, downspouts.
- Performing preventative maintenance requirements for building components, equipment, life safety systems, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical and heating
- Maintaining inventory of parts and disposable items, reporting and ordering, maintaining the service vehicle in a good state of repair.
- Maintaining Fire Logbook and business continuity plan.
- Completing move-out required repairs to units, recommending repairs / replacement of unit’s components, coordinating assigned team, as well as scheduling with service contractors.
Troubleshooting to evaluate a service issue and recommend course of action, reporting needed repairs / replacements, and problems.
Janitorial and grounds keeping service to ensure standards are met.Assisting property managers, servicepersons and contractors in a variety of situations including lock-outs, fire alarms, resolving maintenance and building repair problems / renovations.On-Call required on a rotational basis.Job Requirements
Demonstrated skill and understanding of building construction, systems and componentsIntermediate knowledge of electrical, plumbing, heatingAdvanced knowledge of carpentry repair and replacement techniquesExperience with life safety systems, elevators, skill in use of power tools for repairs / replacementDemonstrated skill in various trades and in the use of tools and equipment to perform building repairs, cleaning and grounds equipment.Ability to work with limited supervision, organize and prioritize routine and peak demand work.Ability to maintain records and perform preventive maintenance routine.WHMIS certificationEducation & Experience
