Title : Azure Cloud Operations Engineer

Location : Halifax, NS Remote

Type : Contract

Must have skills :

Hands on experience on Azure Services & Kubernetes / Openshift (Administration, configuration, and troubleshooting)

Day to Day duties and tasks :

Establish and maintain proactive monitoring for Azure services, identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks and potential issues.

Respond to and troubleshoot incidents, ensuring timely resolution of Azure-related problems. Use automation and DevOps practices to handle and mitigate them.

Implement automation tools to streamline repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency.

Maintain and operate Kubernetes Clusters (AKS)

Ensure platforms remain highly resilient to meet availability expectations as per the application design including the oversight of disaster recovery testing.

Collaborate with the Cloud Arch. team to implement and enhance Azure security measures.

Participate in the change management process to help manage change across the environment.

Assist with the patching, capacity planning, and administration of services alongside Operations.

Manage and coordinate vendors activities to ensure the successful support of platforms.

Collaborate with the security team to conduct regular security assessments / Audits and implement security best practices.

Implement Cost optimization strategies, budgets and other measure to contain costs.
