Overview
This individual will be a key member of the Engineering Team and will be responsible for leading a small team of engineers and performing a variety of tasks in industrial electrical design. The individual will utilize their existing skills and knowledge and grow their skillset performing design for power systems, grounding, lighting, and control systems.
Responsibilities
- Floor to ceiling electrical design of new industrial facilities
- Expansions and upgrades to existing facilities and plants
- Control system and automation projects
- Construction and commissioning supervision and management
- Long-term support and service

Mentor and guide a small team of engineers, technologists and designers, by performing weekly meetings, goal settings and other activities to guide and monitor growthPerform routine performance reviews and address problems as they ariseAdvocate for the team to ensure their team members growth and happinessWork with project managers and senior engineers to understand team member skill setsPlan, organize, lead, participate in and execute multiple small and large projects involving internal and external labor and procurement of materialDemonstrate thorough understanding of customer and supplier contractual commitments, ensuring projects are delivered in a safe manner and that our customer and business commitments are met or exceededServe as a senior technical resource on a variety of projectsEnsure that work is completed in a timely manner and on budgetSupport the Commercial team in identifying and quoting new opportunitiesAssist in the development of job cost estimates and attend critical customer meetings, as neededActively participate in EHS and develop a thorough understanding of ESG’s EHS Policies and ProceduresConduct work activities in a compliant manner, adhering to the highest level of personal safetyDevelop and expand technical knowledge and expertise through continued, employer sponsored training and developmentUnderstand critical industry standardsUtilize internal systems to complete all administrative duties in a timely manner, such as, but not limited to :Scheduling, timesheets, expense processing, fleet vehicle reporting, purchase order and / or requisition creation and processing, etc.Approving team members timesheets, vacation requests, etc.Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in an Electrical Engineering discipline from an accredited university or collegeMember of EGBC with active P.Eng. designationSignificant Industrial electrical design experienceExperience with the CEC and other common standardsComputer literacy with the adaptability to learn new software packagesExperience with AutoCAD or other drafting softwareLeadership skillsThe social skills to work with a variety of personalities and range of skillsetsPossess a valid driver's licenseWork Location : This position is eligible for hybrid-remote work.
