Construction Manager

Bluevale Capital is a boutique, real estate private equity firm that specializes in value-add, development and special situational multi-residential projects. Over the past two years, the firm has completed over $250M of transactions with the intention of creating a $1B+ real estate fund over the next 2-3 years. By working with government leaders, and by partnering with our sponsors and lenders, the company’s vision is to create 10,000+ residential units with a focus on tackling the affordable housing crisis in North America. We are currently putting together a stellar team that will help achieve this goal.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead delivery of a large-scale residential project in Calgary. This role is accountable for end-to-end construction execution, including direct oversight of the General Contractor, coordination of external consultants, and day-to-day control of schedule, budget, quality, and risk.

Success in this role requires strong on-the-ground presence, fast and sound decision-making, and the ability to clearly communicate priorities and direction across a complex stakeholder group.

What You Will Do

• Lead construction execution through close-out, with consistent on-site presence
• Make timely, well-reasoned decisions on construction, sequencing, and staffing issues
• Provide direct oversight of the General Contractor, holding them accountable to scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards
