Our Ideal Candidate
Allnorth is seeking an experienced Engineering Group Lead to manage the Structural Engineering and Design team based out of our Saskatoon office. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for maintaining a skilled and competitive structural team; managing the size and make-up of the team to suit workload; developing and maintaining client relationships; implementing improvements and improving efficiency, and supervising the activities of the team in the execution of projects. In addition, you may take on the role of Project Manager and Engineer-of-Record for select projects. This position is critical to advancing Allnorth’s brand reputation, supporting team building initiatives and developing the medium to long-term opportunity pipeline.
A Day in the Life
- Lead daily operations and strategic growth of Allnorth’s Structural Group in Saskatchewan.
- Provide mentorship and support to a team of engineers, technologists, and field inspectors.
- Manage internal coordination, staffing, and quality control across multiple projects. Build strong client relationships, and associated contractors.
- Work with senior leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic long-term growth planning.
- Ensure all aspects of the project work are on track in regard to scope, schedule, budget and safety.
- Coordinating with business development leaders to contribute project proposal efforts.
- Travel to project locations will be expected.
What you'll bring to the Team
Bachelor’s Degree in a discipline related to our service offerings (e.g. Structural Engineering preferred)Must be registered, or eligible to register, as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Saskatchewan10+ years of relevant experience in planning, designing and installing infrastructureSuccessful track record of proposing and executing projects in the design and construction of structural infrastructure (e.g. bridges, buildings, industrial, mining, foundations, etc.)Excellent communication skills (interpersonal and written) and proven ability to lead team members in a multi-disciplined environmentProven leadership for building teams and mentorship experience for developing peopleTechnical competency for overseeing complex projects and strong attention to detailWhat's in it for you?
