Job Description

The shunter works independently and with a team to pick up and deliver products to various buildings in Chateauguay.

Role And Responsibilities

Provide exceptional service and maintain quality customer relationships.

Unload and load metal products.

Operate forklift (training and certification provided).

Operate straight trucks or trailers safely to transport goods and materials in urban and short inter‑urban routes.

Operate trucks and trailers to deliver to U.S. clients (valid passports and U.S. driver’s license required).

Conduct routine pre‑ and post‑trip inspections and maintain accurate delivery logs.

Verify product delivery at customer location and maintain customer invoices.

Follow health and safety procedures.

Be flexible to work on shop tasks as needed.

Complete other related tasks as assigned.

Knowledge And Skill Requirements

Valid Class 1 driver’s license with a clean commercial driver’s abstract.

Physically fit, able to lift, stack, pull, and carry up to 60 lbs repeatedly.

Previous professional driving experience preferred.

Forklift driver’s card.

Ability to work in a variety of weather, temperature, and road conditions.

Fluent in French and English (travel in Canada and the U.S.).
