I&C Engineer

Acero Engineering Inc. (“Acero”), a growing oil & gas facilities engineering company providing engineering, procurement and construction management expertise is currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to fill one role as a full-time permanent role as an I&C Engineer (12-18 month contract role) .

Acero is focused on facility and pipeline engineering, procurement and construction management services; from concept evaluation to plant start-up. Our core service offering is in-house project management, process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control engineering, project engineering, procurement, regulatory services, civil and structural engineering, and construction management.

Responsibilities

• Specifying industrial control systems, including control system architecture, fibre optic architecture, instrumentation specification, Honeywell Control Logix.
• Preparing P&ID inputs and selection
• Developing instrument indices, instrument F&G and analyzer datasheets and inline instrument sizing
• Creating I / O lists and assignments, instrument wiring drawings and loop diagrams, and instrument UPS load requirements lists
• Preparing material requisitions and technical bid evaluations for instruments
• Assisting with the design of PLC panels
• Reviewing cable schedules
• Preparing shutdown keys and cause and effect diagrams
• Preparing engineering work packages
• Reviewing instrument location drawings and wiring drawings
• Providing technical support to vendors for DCS / SIS / FG panels design and fabrication and mechanical / electrical equipment
• Providing comprehensive engineering and design services by establishing design criteria and preparing specifications, design computations, drawings, models and bills of material in accordance with basic project requirements
• Participating in the design of component parts and individual units
• Other tasks / responsibilities, as required
