Acero Engineering Inc. (“Acero”), a growing oil & gas facilities engineering company providing engineering, procurement and construction management expertise is currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to fill one role as a full-time permanent role as an I&C Engineer (12-18 month contract role) .
Acero is focused on facility and pipeline engineering, procurement and construction management services; from concept evaluation to plant start-up. Our core service offering is in-house project management, process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control engineering, project engineering, procurement, regulatory services, civil and structural engineering, and construction management.
Responsibilities
- Specifying industrial control systems, including control system architecture, fibre optic architecture, instrumentation specification, Honeywell Control Logix.
- Preparing P&ID inputs and selection
- Developing instrument indices, instrument F&G and analyzer datasheets and inline instrument sizing
- Creating I / O lists and assignments, instrument wiring drawings and loop diagrams, and instrument UPS load requirements lists
- Preparing material requisitions and technical bid evaluations for instruments
- Assisting with the design of PLC panels
- Reviewing cable schedules
- Preparing shutdown keys and cause and effect diagrams
- Preparing engineering work packages
- Reviewing instrument location drawings and wiring drawings
- Providing technical support to vendors for DCS / SIS / FG panels design and fabrication and mechanical / electrical equipment
- Providing comprehensive engineering and design services by establishing design criteria and preparing specifications, design computations, drawings, models and bills of material in accordance with basic project requirements
- Participating in the design of component parts and individual units
- Other tasks / responsibilities, as required
Preferred Education, Experience And Skills
Minimum of 5-15 years of experience as an I&C Engineer in Oil and Gas Facilities in Western CanadaP.Eng registration within the province of AlbertaStrong knowledge of instrumentation, standards, specs etc.Understanding and working effectively with Word, Excel, Project, Visio, PowerpointExcellent team collaboration and interpersonal skillsStrong written, verbal, analytical and critical thinking skillsProven ability to work under pressure and meet tight timelines as occasionally demanded by our clients#J-18808-Ljbffr
