GeoSpectrum is growing and we are seeking a System Safety Engineer to join our team!
The System Safety Engineer will play a key role in leading, managing, and facilitating system safety activities ensuring that risks are systematically identified and managed throughout the design of complex products during programmatic milestones, product developments and product deliveries. The role requires strong analytical thinking, an ability to lead and mentor cross-functional teams, and to be a strong communicator in both technical and non-technical capacities. The System Safety Engineer will lead System Safety Working Groups (SSWG) through system safety tasks prescribed by MIL-STD-882E, including conducting and facilitating hazard analysis sessions and generating Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA), Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA), and Subsystem Hazard Analysis (SSHA). Youll have the ability to shape safety cases, drive innovation to influence design integrity across major programs, and champion impactful initiatives for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
Lead the System Safety Working Group through PHA, FHA, SSHA and all associated activities.
Provide Technical Program Management with advice and methods for capturing safety in the design of custom designed solutions.
Become familiar with MIL-STD-882E and the requirements from the standard that should drive our approach to System Safety.
