Hybrid working – 3 days per week office attendance.

Arrangement – Contracted (Inside IR35) or Permanent

BPSS clearance will be required at basic level. Prior clearance will not be transferable.

Project Overview

The Sellafield Product and Residue Store Retreatment Plant (SRP), being delivered by the Programme and Project Partners (PPP), will safely receive all special nuclear material packages from existing storage locations across the Sellafield site before retreating them into new 100‑year packages for safe storage. The SRP facility will enable all special nuclear materials to remain safe and secure in its store into the next century and beyond and therefore plays a key role in delivering Sellafield’s purpose to create a clean and safe environment for future generations.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce engineering design deliverables (specification, drawing, analysis, verification or assessment of engineering) that satisfy the legal and functional requirements along with the associated performance conditions to the agreed time, cost and quality.
• Deliver a safe, fit‑for‑purpose, fully integrated and operable design solution that meets product requirements.
• Produce design deliverables that provide a fit‑for‑purpose integrated solution which meets specified requirements, including validation and verification, and that preserve the design intent and align with the plant configuration, as appropriate.
• Ensure the design solution is able to be manufactured, constructed, commissioned, handed over, put into operation, maintained and decommissioned.
