COMPENSATION : $17.65 - $18.40

START DATE : December 6, 2024

WORKING HOURS :

Full-time and part-time, seasonal position requiring flexibility in scheduling, including early morning hours. The role includes the expectation to work weekends and holidays as needed, with availability for extended hours depending on weather conditions and special events.

WORK ENVIRONMENT :

The Terrain Park Crew Member will primarily work outdoors in a winter sports environment, subject to varying weather conditions, including snow, rain, and cold temperatures.

The role involves spending long hours on the mountain, performing physically demanding tasks, and operating machinery. Safety gear will be provided, and adherence to safety protocols is essential to ensure a secure working environment.

JOB OVERVIEW :

The Terrain Park Crew Member is essential to the safe operation and maintenance of the terrain park, helping to create a fun and enjoyable experience for guests.

This position focuses on maintaining park features, ensuring safety signage and boundaries are in place, and assisting guests in a friendly and informative manner.

The Crew Member works closely with the Park Crew Supervisor and Lead Hand along with other team members to ensure a high standard of quality and safety in the park.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED :

  • Passion for Winter Sports : Genuine enthusiasm for skiing or snowboarding and a strong interest in terrain parks.
  • Physical Fitness : Ability to perform physically demanding tasks outdoors in variable weather conditions, including lifting up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and operating machinery.
  • Park Skills : Competence in safely testing and providing feedback on terrain park features from small to XXL, ensuring they meet safety and quality standards.
  • Team Player : Ability to collaborate effectively with others while also being self-reliant, contributing to a positive and efficient work environment.
  • Reliability : Punctual and dependable, with a strong commitment to task completion and maintaining a safe workplace.
  • Communication Skills : Strong interpersonal skills for assisting guests and collaborating with team members.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Feature Maintenance : Assist in building, maintaining, and inspecting terrain park features to ensure safety and quality.
  • Safety Management : Ensure visibility and proper placement of signage and ropes, maintaining an organized and safe work environment.
  • Guest Interaction : Engage with guests politely, answering questions and fostering a welcoming experience.
  • Documentation : Complete daily logs and maintenance records to support compliance and operational standards.
  • General Labour : Perform tasks such as shovelling and raking to maintain park cleanliness and functionality.
