Although this position reports centrally into the IT campus other locations across the province may be considered subject to space availability and operational requirements. What you will be doing
The Telecommunications Specialist executes the daily operations of the Colleges telecommunications systems including cellular services landlines and VoIP and manages all telecom-related tickets submitted via the Colleges Technology Service Desk.
The Telecommunications Specialist acts as the Colleges telecom SME and interacts with all levels of employees from entry level employees to executive and all departments of the College and supports them with any telecom / mobile device related issues. This position works closely with the Infrastructure and Core Services team as well as the Service Delivery and Operations team.
The Telecommunications Specialist is also the primary technical point of contact for all the Colleges telecom vendors (Bell Bell Aliant Bell Mobility DSM) and interacts with our vendors Tier 1 call centres and Account Executive on all matters related to the Colleges telecom systems and operations.
