Job Description

Who we are :

For over 25 years, Global Relay has set the standard in enterprise information archiving with industry-leading cloud archiving, surveillance, eDiscovery, and analytics solutions. We securely capture and preserve the communications data of the world's most highly regulated firms, giving them greater visibility and control over their information and ensuring compliance with stringent regulations.

Though we offer competitive compensation and benefits and all the other perks one would expect from an established company, we are not your typical technology company. Global Relay is a career-building company. A place for big ideas. New challenges. Groundbreaking innovation. It's a place where you can genuinely make an impact – and be recognized for it.

We believe great businesses thrive on diversity, inclusion, and the contributions of all employees. To that end, we recruit candidates from different backgrounds and foster a work environment that encourages employees to collaborate and learn from each other, completely free of barriers.

Your role :

Global Relay has a rich history of innovatively solving compliant communication and archiving challenges for regulated organizations of all shapes and sizes. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Technical Writer, dedicated to user advocacy and user success, to join our growing Technical Communication team.

The Senior Technical Writer will create a diverse set of user assistance content, purpose-built to empower users to master the concepts and tasks specific to their role. The successful candidate will create user and configuration guides, developer documentation, online help, reference cards, release and maintenance notifications, training material, feature briefs, and other relevant artifacts. Experience with a variety of content delivery tools is required, so we can tailor material to a range of technical aptitudes, learning styles, and use cases.

Your responsibilities :

  • Champion our users by researching them, their roles, responsibilities, challenges, workflows, and more to create the materials to facilitate their ongoing success
  • Collaborate with UX, Product, Technical Communication, and Marketing to produce consistent content for various touch points and contexts
  • Contribute to the corporate style guide and voice guidelines; reinforce these styles when reviewing content produced by others
  • Work with stakeholders to incorporate their insights into your content to ensure your work benefits both our internal teams and external users
  • Examine approaches for leveraging technical writing tools and processes to streamline content creation
  • Ensure the successful completion of all user content required for each product release or upgrade, including secondary and complementary material
  • Manage multiple projects and parallel deadlines
  • Stay current with advances and trends in the field and industry at large
  • Collaborate with and support other Technical Writers

About you :

  • 7+ years Technical Writing experience creating content for diverse audiences, e.g. standard users, IT personnel, programmers / developers, data scientists, etc.
  • A portfolio providing your writing samples and documentation process
  • Degree / Diploma in English, technical writing, computer science, or related field
