We're currently seeking weekend writers to help bolster our coverage. This is a great opportunity to cover breaking entertainment news as well as the franchises you love (and some you'll come to love) while working with a talented and passionate team.
Applicants should be motivated self-starters who are eager to learn and who respond well to constructive feedback. This is a fully remote and freelance position, open to applicants from anywhere in the world.

Responsibilities :
- Help cover celebrity, political, movie, TV, and internet news on Fridays, Saturdays, and / or Sundays
- Story-find, pitch, and write articles pitched by other team members
- Submit clean copy with minimal edits
- Meet article deadlines
- Follow trending topics via Google Trends and Twitter
- Work respectfully with editors to craft high-quality, traffic-driving articles
Qualifications :
- 2+ years of editorial / journalistic experience, specifically focused on entertainment
- Fluency in English and excellent writing skills
- Knowledge of SEO best practices, WordPress, and Trello
Compensation ranges from $16-90 per article depending on word count. Rates may vary, depending on location, for international candidates.
