Role Overview
Lead strategic procurement initiatives, drive improvements, and champion compliance excellence across the organization. Reports to the Director – Procurement, Process & Strategy and partners with cross‑functional teams including Operations, Finance, Legal, and IT to deliver high‑impact initiatives that strengthen governance, efficiency, and overall procurement performance.
Key Deliverables
- Lead end‑to‑end procurement and cross‑functional projects from business case to closure, ensuring on‑time ROI delivery.
- Develop and implement policies for organization‑wide compliance, alignment, and consistency.
- Drive change management activities to accelerate new processes, systems, and standards.
- Identify risks, deploy controls, and cultivate a culture of integrity and regulatory adherence.
- Apply data‑driven problem‑solving to diagnose issues and recommend effective solutions.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders at all levels, providing clear communication and project transparency.
- Create project documentation, business cases, and strategic communications.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that streamline processes and elevate procurement effectiveness.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for policy, compliance, process improvement, and project delivery.
Experience & Qualifications
15+ years’ experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, or related business operations.Strong project management capability with experience in policy, compliance frameworks, and technology‑enabled initiatives (ERP, Source to Pay).Exceptional communication skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and strong at managing multiple priorities in high‑volume environments.Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills; data‑driven decision‑making.Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.Experience with project management tools or automation platforms (asset).Prosci, PMP, or equivalent certifications (asset).Post‑secondary education in Business, Project Management, Procurement, or related field.Success Measures
On‑time, in‑scope delivery and return on investment of key projects.Compliance and policy adoption targets met.Effectiveness of risk mitigation and issue resolution.Stakeholder satisfaction and quality of cross‑functional collaboration.High standards of documentation, controls, and improvement deliverables.Benefits
