Adult Ed Coordinator
The Adult Education Coordinator will develop and implement Certificate and Short Courses for deliver within the KOBE communities.
The position will be responsible for all aspects of the planning, programming, budgeting, financial monitoring and reporting.
The Adult Education Coordinator will be accountable to the Divisional Principal of KiHS, Trades, Dual Credits, and Post-Secondary Relations.
The responsibilities and duties for the Adult Education Coordinator will include but are not limited to : Conduct needs assessment in the KO First Nations for certificate and short courses.
Develop the structure, content and objectives of short programs the meet the identified needs.Develop a schedule of program delivery in coordination with the First Nations Chief and Council or designate.
Hire instructional staff and secure third party trainers to deliver programming in the KO First Nations for year round delivery.
Provide on-going professional development, training, and consultative services to instructional, contract and administrative staff.
Provide feedback and evaluations for instructional and administrative staff.Develop and maintain outcome tracking systems including student attendance hours.
Develop, facilitate and monitor Adult Education program policies such as conflict resolution and attendance policies.Ensure appropriate educational space is secured for program delivery.
Promote and market programming in the community.Continuously adding and updating programs based on community input.Perform administrative tasks as required.
Prepare and monitor various departmental budgets in accordance with funding agreements.Prepare funding reports in accordance with the agreement reporting schedules and requirements.
Prepare and present reports and promotional materials at meetings, conferences, workshops or promotional events. Qualifications Bachelors degree in business or education or College Diploma in related field with 3 or more years experience in adult education administration.
Experience in program development and continuous intake delivery models.Program administration and operations management experience required.
Experience in public relations, communications and presentations.Skills in finance, budgetary and government reporting.General administrative skills including filing, office management and using Microsoft Office and Student Information Systems.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.High level of organizational skills.Ability to travel extensively in KO First Nations and KOBE offices.
Valid class G drivers licenseAbility to lift up to 23 kgs. Salary grid range is $78,676 - $106,479 based on education and experience.
