Job Title : Business Manager, Budgeting and Internal Reporting (Finance)

Location : Toronto, Ontario.

Contract : 22 months

Hybrid.

Our client, a well known national public broadcaster is currently looking for a Business Manager, Budgeting and Internal Reporting to join their amazing team!

Key Responsibilities :

Prepare and maintain monthly, quarterly and annual Financial Reporting packages.

Prepare monthly financial / management reports and variance analysis for programming inventory and program rights expense.

Prepare monthly journal entries including accruals, reclasses and program rights amortization expense.

Prepare and analyze the budgets and forecasts.

Reconciliation of inventory between financial and scheduling system.

Assist with preparation and analysis of year-end programming audit schedules.

Prepare and analyze quarterly balance sheet exhibits.

Interpret and enforce policies, standards, methods and recognized accounting practices.

Build new reports and develop processes on an ad-hoc basis, while identifying opportunities to improve existing reporting.

Direct supervision of one staff.

All other tasks, assignments, duties or projects as required by the immediate supervisor.

Requirements :

CPA and knowledge of IFRS.

At least 5 years’ of related experience.

Advanced proficiency in Excel and other MS Office applications. SAP is an asset.

Superior investigative and analytical skills with the ability to identify and implement strategies for improvement.

Ability to set priorities and balance competing business needs within budgetary restrictions and reporting deadlines.

Experience working in a diverse and inclusive environment.
