Job Description
Our client in the food manufacturing industry is seeking a PART TIME Bookkeeper to join their team. This role offers 10 hours per week and is 100% on site in Mississauga, ON. The Bookkeeper will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, organizational skills, and proficiency in accounting principles.
Responsibilities :
- Maintain and update financial records including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of all transactions.
- Prepare and process invoices, expense reports, and other financial documents.
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Monitor cash flow and prepare cash forecasts as needed.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Generate financial reports and provide analysis to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop and implement efficient accounting procedures.
- Respond to inquiries from vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders regarding financial transactions.
- Assist with audits and other financial reviews as required.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.Proven experience with capital leases required.Proven experience in an Accounting or Bookkeeping role.Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms.Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Solid organizational and time management skills.Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing financial transactions.CPA certification (preferred but not required).
