We have an exciting opportunity for a  Mechanical Materials Handling Engineer  who will join our Mechanical Resources Team. In collaboration with the greater Energy and Resources team this role will be called upon to assume responsibility for a multitude of multidisciplinary projects primarily in the Mining sectors. Initially this position will be taking a development role in the design of materials handling projects across Western Canada.

These skills combined with excellent business acumen will be key in growing our Western Canadian team.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Participate and produce various deliverables in line with the project needs;
  • Developing and producing design deliverables on a variety of industrial projects
  • Work in multidisciplinary project teams produce and sign off deliverables;
  • Work with the department Lead to pursue new business opportunities with new and / or existing clients
  • Assist stakeholders in proposal writing and fee estimates
  • Collaboratively support business / operations through sound management of value risk content communication knowledge & resources
  • Provide expertise in brownfield and sustaining projects
  • Ensuring compliance to Health & Safety as well as all other regulations & policies
  • Development & implementation of budgets
  • Partake to site surveys

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Manufacturing Industrial or Mechanical Engineering
  • 4 years of completing Engineering design work in the Mining sector
  • designation or eligible to become a within Canada is an asset
  • Proven organizational analytical & problem-solving skills;
  • Able to multi-task meet deadlines self-motivate and adapt to change;
  • Excellent Communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with all levels.
  • Experience with metal / mineral processing plants piping cooling systems compression mining operations conveyance systems and / or pressure vessels is considered an asset
  • The expected salary for this position is based on the richness and diversity of the candidates experience training skills and internal equity. The position or associated salary could vary depending on the profile of the candidate.
