The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer (Senior Software Engineer I) to join our Flow Platform team and help evolve our cloud and developer platforms in Canada. In this hybrid role, with one to two days in office per week. You’ll take ownership of key infrastructure components, lead technical projects, and mentor junior engineers while contributing to the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our platform. You’ll work closely with engineering, security, and product teams to deliver solutions that empower developers to build, deploy, and operate software with confidence and speed.

What You’ll Do

• Design and implement scalable infrastructure on AWS using infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation, Pulumi, CDK, Ansible, Chef, etc.
• Lead medium-to-large platform initiatives, from planning through execution and delivery.
• Develop and maintain CI / CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or ArgoCD.
• Improve developer experience by building and enhancing internal platform tools and services.
• Drive automation to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency.
• Mentor intermediate engineers and co‑ops, providing guidance through code reviews, design discussions, and technical coaching.
• Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and post‑mortems to improve system reliability.
• Collaborate across teams to align infrastructure and platform capabilities with engineering needs.
• Contribute to platform observability, including monitoring, alerting, and SLO / SLA tracking.
• Participate in hiring efforts, including technical interviews and onboarding support.
