The Director, Human Resources would be reporting directly to the Executive Leadership of ATA Vacations Inc.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership & Governance
- Set and oversee a multi‑year People & Culture roadmap aligned to ATA’s strategy as a premier travel technology distribution and support partner.
- Advise executives on workforce planning, leadership capability, succession, and skills architecture to support training, support, and booking‑tool commercialization .
- Establish governance for HR operations across Ontario HQ and remote global teams supporting agencies nationally.
Learning, Talent & Capability (ATA Academy & Field Enablement)
Own the design and deployment of ATA Academy learning paths (onboarding, advanced Amadeus skills, product updates) to uplift internal teams and the trainer community servicing member agencies.Build leadership and HiPo programs for partners and managers supporting workflows; measure ROI on capability uplift.Implement skills frameworks for roles spanning help desk, agency enablement, partner success, and field training.Organization Design, Culture & Change
Lead org design for a Markham‑based, multi‑site operation scaling training, support, and product adoption; steward DEIB and engagement across multilingual teams serving multi‑ethnic agencies.Drive change programs for new B2B / B2C tool rollouts , ensuring adoption and performance outcomes.People Operations, Budget & Metrics
Own HR / L&D budgets; track KPIs (program adoption, time‑to‑competency, retention of critical roles, training NPS, ROI).Oversee the employee grievance process and lead the total rewards strategyStandardize performance management and succession processes to ensure continuity in critical customer‑facing and tech‑enablement roles.Systems, Partners & Vendor Management
Partner with Product / Technology to align LMS / TMS content and certification paths with primary partners updates and booking tool releases.Manage L&D content vendors and external trainers; align with partner events and ATA Academy calendar.Leadership
Coach and develop a high‑performing HR, L&D, and enablement team; model ethical leadership and data‑driven decision‑making.Qualifications
Must‑Have
University degree and / or equivalent senior HR credential10+ years in HR with proven success in Consultancy, Learning & Talent strategy, org design, and culture transformation at regional or global scale primarily in the Asia-Pacific region.Experience supporting technology‑enabled service models (training / support / product adoption).Demonstrated budget ownership and ROI reporting for L&D / Talent portfolios.Excellent Communication skills with proficiency in English. Exposure to B2B vacation packaging operations, agency enablement, or channel programsExperience leading multilingual, culturally diverse teams serving multi‑ethnic customer bases.
