THE RENFREW COUNTY DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD

requires the following

TEMPORARY EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT PERSONNEL X3

JORDAN'S PRINCIPLE

SCHOOL :

Opeongo High School, Douglas

FTE :

100% (35 hours per week)

QUALIFICATIONS :

A minimum two year community college diploma in the social services field (e.g. DSW, CYW, SSW), or an equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable to the Board. (Transcripts may be requested to support relevant course detail.)

Applicants must have a proven ability and willingness to perform the essential duties of an Educational Support Personnel, including toileting, diapering, feeding, lifting,

transferring, positioning and providing assistance with mobility.

Familiarity with Indigenous culture is considered an asset.

Other relevant training that would be an asset :

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder Training
  • Behaviour Management Systems (BMS)
  • Lifting training
  • WHMIS certification
  • Collaborative and Proactive Solutions (CPS)
  • Prior experience using computer supports and adaptive / assistive technology is an asset

TERM :

Immediately to June 27, 2025 (subject to funding)

NOTE :

This temporary position will not change the home school for a permanent ESP. The member will returns to their home school at the end of the assignment.

Hiring will follow the requirements outlined in the Collective Agreement for the Educational Support Personnel and the RCDSB Administrative Procedures. Positions will be filled by members of the Board's Educational Support Personnel bargaining unit BEFORE external applications are considered. The Board reserves the right not to fill a position.
