Summary
Reporting to the Foreman, the Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operation and distribution of materials to the job site.
Responsibilities
- Operate Class 3 Vehicles, including but not limited to Water Truck, Vactor Truck and other equipment in a safe and appropriate manner
- Understand and follow directions from supervisors as to the required work area and emulsion / water distribution rates
- Perform daily maintenance checks and report any mechanical or safety issues to supervisors
- Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment
- Operate equipment and tools; training will be provided, as necessary
- Fuel, lubricate, clean, and maintain equipment
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Possess and Maintain a valid Class 3A Driver’s license and mean of transportation to and from the jobsite
- Must be physically fit and able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 lbs
- Ability to work in inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to construction materials
- Punctual and able to work full time, overtime and weekends as needed
- Able to work out of town and at times in a camp environment
