Financial Reporting Consultant
US GAAP Project 2-3 month contract
Location : In-office (Vancouver), hybrid or remote
Duration : Ideally Full-Time and open to Part-Time, 3 months (starting July 2024)
Overview : STRIVE Recruitment is working with a client that is a leading real estate private finance company based in Vancouver.
They are currently seeking a highly skilled contract consulting resource for the summer / fall period to assist with a significant US GAAP project.
This project involves conducting first-year audits for approximately a dozen entities to meet new SEC requirements.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct comprehensive accounting analysis under US GAAP for multiple entities.
- Develop and set up financial statement templates tailored to the real estate equity finance industry.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure all financial statements meet SEC reporting standards.
- Provide detailed documentation and support for audit processes.
- Identify and resolve complex accounting issues specific to real estate equity finance.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Requirements :
- Proven expertise in US GAAP accounting standards.
- Experience in the real estate equity finance industry is highly desirable.
- Significant experience with SEC reporting requirements is a key differentiator.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex accounting issues.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple entities simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in accounting and financial reporting.
Contract Details :
- Full-time position for a duration of 3 months, starting as early as July 2024.
