Overview

Our Happy Place Supportive Services is seeking compassionate, reliable Casual Supply / On-Call Day Program Support Staff to provide coverage as needed within our adult day program. This role supports adults who are neurologically and / or physically diverse, ensuring a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment during daily activities and community outings.

This position is ideal for individuals seeking flexible, occasional hours and experience within the developmental and community support sector.

Responsibilities

Provide direct support to program members during in-centre activities and community outings
Support personal care needs as required (toileting, hygiene, mobility assistance, etc.)
Encourage participation, independence, and social engagement
Assist with behaviour support strategies under direction of senior staff
Ensure member safety at all times and follow established policies and procedures
Complete basic documentation (incident reports, daily notes, etc.)

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience supporting adults with special needs is an asset

Education or enrollment in a related field (DSW, SSW, PSW, Therapeutic Recreation, etc.) is an asset

Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills

Ability to adapt quickly and work independently when required

Valid First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain)

Vulnerable Sector Check (or willingness to obtain)

Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle preferred
