Halifax Regional Municipality is inviting applications for the Permanent, Full-Time position of Lead Revenue Analyst in the Finance & Asset Management business unit. Reporting to the Tax Resource Supervisor, the Lead Revenue Analyst acts as a mentor for the Tax Resource team with respect to customer service, tax policy and accounting treatment. This position is the technical lead responsible for the centralized billing of 165,000 taxation accounts as well as general revenue accounts. Key to this responsibility is ensuring the administration and accuracy of assessment roll information in the billing system (SAP) and Council approved tax and area rates, including Community and private Road area rates as well as Business Improvement District area rates. This role is also responsible for reconciliation and accuracy of certain general ledger accounts on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis.
This position also has overall responsibility for the administration and execution of budgets and billings for legislated Tax Agreements and Payments-in-Lieu-of-Taxes (PILT) for Federal and Provincial property as well as Crown Corporations.

Work Status : Permanent, Full-Time.
Hours of Work : 8 : 30 am - 4 : 30 pm, Monday-Friday, 35 Hours per week. Flex options to work outside of these hours and hybrid may be available.
Salary : Level 8, $39.63 per hour, as per the NSGEU Local 222 Collective Agreement.
Work Location : 40 Alderney Drive, Dartmouth.
